Step 2: Copy Livestream Embed URL
Navigate to your scoreboard's details page and copy the Livestream Embed URL. You'll need this in the next step to display your overlay in Wirecast.
Instructions:
- A copy button has been provided for your convenience
- You will use this copied URL to paste into Wirecast in the next step
Pro Tip: You can customize the behavior of your scoreboard to meet game rules and your preferences with the "Settings" button in the upper right.
Step 3: Launch Wirecast
Open Wirecast, and select an empty layer without any sources.
Instructions:
- Find or create an open layer in Wirecast
- Move the layer so that it is above your camera sources
Pro Tip: Take a look at your canvas resolution under File > Preferences > Canvas. Note the "Canvas Size for New Documents." You will use this later.
Step 4: Create Web Background Source
After selecting your layer, click the "+" icon and add a new "Web Page" source.
Instructions:
- After selecting your Layer, click on the "+" icon to add a new source
- In the left panel, select "Backgrounds" and in the right panel, select "Web Page"
- Click "OK" to proceed
Step 5: Configure the Web Source
Paste the Livestream Embed URL into the URL field and set your input resolution / width & height.
Instructions:
- Paste the Livestream Embed URL into the "URL" field that you previously copied from ScoreboardMax
- IMPORTANT: Enter the width and height of your video output resolution. This will give you much better results than resizing the scoreboard with your mouse (will prevent blurriness).
- If you do not know your canvas resolution, go to File > Preferences > Canvas. Note the "Canvas Size for New Documents" to get the video width and height.
- Click the "Transparent background" checkbox
- Now, click the new Web source you just created, and click the right arrow below the preview screen to send the scoreboard to the output.
Step 6: That's It — You're Ready to Go!
Your scoreboard overlay should now appear on your stream. You're all set for game time!
Step 7: Control Your Scoreboard
Head back to ScoreboardMax and click the "Scoreboard Control" link to begin updating scores and managing game data.
Instructions:
- You can configure any settings for your scoreboard by choosing "Settings" in the upper right
- At the bottom of the scoreboard controls, you can find a link to tips and instructions on how to control the scoreboard
Pro Tip: You can control the scoreboard from any device that has an internet connection - no need to control from your streaming computer.
Step 8: Invite a Guest Operator (Optional)
Need help running the scoreboard? Invite someone to assist by sharing temporary control — no login required.
Instructions:
- This is particularly useful when you are using volunteer help to operate your scoreboard
- Click the "Share Scoreboard Control" button
- Choose how long you would like to grant access - from a few hours up to a few days
- The guest operator can scan the access QR code from their phone or tablet, or you can share it by text or email
