Perfect for football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and other sports, ScoreboardMax helps you create a high-quality, professional live stream.
Step 1: Create the Scoreboard You'll Use with Your Streaming Software
First, create and configure your scoreboard in ScoreboardMax with your desired sport, teams, and settings.
Instructions:
- Log into your ScoreboardMax account
- Go to "Scoreboards" from the navigation menu
- Select an existing scoreboard, or choose "New Scoreboard"
- Select your sport (football, basketball, volleyball, etc.)
- Configure team names, colors, and logos
- Adjust any sport-specific settings as needed
- Save your scoreboard configuration
Pro Tip: Create and save team profiles in advance for quick setup of future scoreboards.
Step 2: Copy Livestream Embed URL
On the scoreboard details page, copy the Livestream Embed URL.
Instructions:
- A copy button has been provided for your convenience
- You will use this copied URL to paste into your streaming software in the next step

Step 3: Launch Your Streaming Software
Open your preferred streaming software and set up your scene with cameras and other inputs as you normally would.

- Confirm your streaming software supports browser or web page sources (refer to the product's help documentation)
- Launch your streaming software
- Configure your cameras, microphones, and other inputs for your broadcast
- Set up the scene where you want to add your scoreboard overlay
Step 4: Add a Web / Browser Source
Add a web or browser source to your scene and configure it with your ScoreboardMax URL.
Instructions:
- Look for an option to add a new source or input to your scene
- Search for one of these options (varies by software):
- "Browser Source"
- "Web Browser"
- "Web Page"
- "Browser"
- "Web View"
- Paste the Livestream Embed URL that you copied earlier in ScoreboardMax into the URL field
- Set the width and height to match your stream output resolution (for example 1920×1080 for HD)
- Leave any refresh/cache options at their default settings
- If there is a setting about a "transparent background", enable it.
- Save the browser source settings
Pro Tip: If your streaming software offers the option, select the latest browser engine version for best performance.
Step 5: Overlay Your Scoreboard
Overlay the web / browser source on your camera outputs.
Instructions:
- Configure the new web / browser source to overlay your main game video output
- For best results, the scoreboard should overlay the videou output completely - avoid scaling it up or down
Step 6: Control Your Scoreboard
Return to ScoreboardMax and click on the "Scoreboard Control" link.
Instructions:
- You can configure any settings for your scoreboard by choosing "Settings" in the upper right
- At the bottom of the scoreboard controls, you can find a link to tips and instructions on how to control the scoreboard

Step 7: Invite a Guest Operator (Optional)
You can invite a guest to control your scoreboard temporarily in a couple of clicks - no sign-in required.
Instructions:
- This is particularly useful when you are using volunteer help to operate your scoreboard
- Click the "Share Scoreboard Control" button
- Choose how long you would like to grant access - from a few hours up to a few days
- The guest operator can scan the access QR code from their phone or tablet, or you can share it by text or email
Troubleshooting
Common Issues:
Scoreboard Not Appearing
- Verify that you have an active internet connection
- Confirm you've copied the complete Livestream Embed URL correctly
- Try refreshing the browser source (options vary by software, look for "Refresh" or "Reload")
- Check if your streaming software requires any special permissions for browser sources
Scoreboard Appears But Doesn't Update
- Make sure that you are controlling the same scoreboard that is configured in your streaming software
- Verify that you have an active internet connection
- Try refreshing the browser source
